Open to direct sun and rain: choose a ventilated outdoor LCD.
Ventilated displaysUnder a canopy or awning but wet weather still reaches the screen: consider a weather-sealed LCD.
Weather-sealed displaysRoughly 10 m or more from the open edge: send us a photo, and we will advise case by case.
Available screen sizes are 32 to 65 inch. We confirm the suitable type after checking your site.
Mounting options: wall-mounted or free-standing.
A ventilated outdoor LCD is suited to spots open to sun and rain. Ventilation helps manage heat from direct sunlight. We select the model after a site check rather than assuming the same screen suits every location.

Under a canopy or awning, rain may still blow towards the screen. A weather-sealed outdoor LCD may be the better type for a semi-sheltered location. We confirm the model after looking at the actual site.

LCD is sharper for text and detail read close to the screen.
Either type may work. We advise after checking the intended content and site.
Outdoor LED is generally larger and brighter for viewing from a distance.
Outdoor LED screensDistance from the shelter edge matters because wind-driven rain can reach under a roof. Direct sun can require ventilation, while wind exposure affects the supporting structure. Tell us what the actual position looks like.

Singapore's sun, rain and wind decide what any outdoor screen needs, whether LED, LCD or a message sign. Tell us about your site in four quick answers, and we'll know what to plan for before we quote.
An IP rating has two digits: the first is protection from dust, the second from water. Here is what the common outdoor ratings mean in Singapore conditions. We'll confirm the right rating for your site.
| Rating | Dust (1st digit) | Water (2nd digit) | Typical use in Singapore |
|---|---|---|---|
| IP54 | Dust protected | Splashing water from any direction | Sheltered spots: under awnings, covered walkways, semi-enclosed kiosks |
| IP65 | Fully dust-tight | Low-pressure water jets from any angle | Exposed outdoor screens facing normal rain and wind |
| IP66 | Fully dust-tight | Powerful water jets | Very exposed sites: heavy, wind-driven tropical storms |
A high IP rating on the casing helps, but it doesn't make a screen completely moisture-proof. That's why the site conditions above matter as much as the rating.
Outdoor LCD and LED displays usually need a BCA licence. What the screen shows, and where it is placed, both affect the requirements. Changes to outdoor advertising rules take effect on 2 November 2026.
