What the client needed
ST Engineering Aerospace needed a reliable way to put safety messages and corporate circulars in front of the teams working in its hangar, and to update them quickly.
What we installed
We deployed wall-mounted commercial LCD digital signage across the hangar, starting in 2023. The client has kept ordering more screens from us since.
The challenge: connection inside a hangar
Each screen needs a connection to receive new content. We first connected the screens with SIM cards for mobile data. But a large metal hangar blocks mobile signal, and many of the install points sit where coverage is weak.
What we are doing about it
We are now rolling out TP-Link business networking with the client, to bring a reliable connection to every screen. It is the kind of problem you only find on site, and we are solving it together with the client rather than leaving the screens offline. See our networking services.
The result so far
Safety messages and circulars reach the hangar floor on screen, and the screen count keeps growing with each order.
